1. Locate the idle screw. It is on the left side of the carburetor, just below the throttle body.
2. Start the engine and let it warm up for a few minutes.
3. Turn the idle screw counterclockwise until the engine begins to run rough.
4. Turn the idle screw clockwise until the engine idles smoothly.
5. Turn off the engine and allow it to cool down.
6. Restart the engine and check the idle speed. It should be between 1,200 and 1,500 RPM.
7. If the idle speed is too low or too high, adjust the idle screw accordingly.

- If you are unable to adjust the idle screw to the desired setting, you may need to clean the carburetor.
