- A new oil filter
- A new oil filter gasket
- A new oil drain bolt washer
- A 17mm wrench
- A 24mm socket wrench
- A drain pan
- 0.75 quarts of SAE 10W-40 motor oil
Steps:
1. Warm up the engine of your Honda 350 Rancher for a few minutes. This will help to make the oil thinner and easier to drain.
2. Turn off the engine and place the drain pan under the oil drain bolt, which is located on the bottom of the engine case.
3. Use the 24mm socket wrench to loosen the oil drain bolt. Be careful not to drop the bolt into the drain pan.
4. Allow the oil to drain completely into the drain pan.
5. Replace the oil drain bolt washer and tighten the bolt securely.
6. Remove the oil filter cover, which is located on the right side of the engine case.
7. Remove the old oil filter and carefully pour any remaining oil into the drain pan.
8. Apply a thin coat of new oil to the gasket surface of the new oil filter.
9. Screw on the new oil filter until it is snug. Do not over-tighten the oil filter.
10. Add the 0.75 quarts of new oil to the engine through the oil filter cover opening.
11. Check the oil level with the dipstick and add more oil if necessary.
12. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
13. Turn off the engine and recheck the oil level. Add more oil if necessary.
