1.) Locate the oil drain plug on your 2001 Harley-Davidson Road Glide. The oil drain plug is located on the bottom of the engine, near the front. It is a 17mm bolt.
2.) Place an oil pan under the oil drain plug.
3.) Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the oil drain plug.
4.) Allow the oil to drain completely.
5.) Reinstall the oil drain plug. Tighten the oil drain plug to 22 ft-lb.
6.) Dispose of the old oil properly.
