How to rebuild a TRX350 Carburetor

Step 1: Disassemble the carburetor.

Use a screwdriver or an appropriate tool to remove the retaining clips and springs that hold the float bowl in place. Take the float bowl off the carburetor. Gently remove the float from the float bowl.

Remove the four float bowl jets.

Remove the needle and seat.

Remove the idle mixture screw.

Remove the air mixture screw.

Remove the throttle plate.

Remove the throttle shaft.

Remove the slide needle.

Step 2: Clean the carburetor parts.

Use a carburetor cleaner and a soft cloth to clean the carburetor parts. Be careful not to damage any of the jets or orifices. Compressed air can also be used to clean more delicate areas.

Step 3: Assemble the carburetor.

Install the throttle slide into the carburetor body.

Install the throttle shaft and secure it with the retaining clips.

Install the throttle plate and secure with a new o-ring.

Install the idle mixture screw and adjust to specification.

Install the air mixture screw and adjust to specification.

Install the float needle and seat.

Install the float bowl jets.

Install the float bowl and attach with new o-rings.

Reattach the retaining clips and springs that hold the float bowl in place.

Step 4: Adjust the carburetor.

Using a tachometer, adjust the idle speed according to the manufacturer's specifications.

You may need to adjust the air mixture screw to obtain a smooth idle.

Check for leaks. Make any appropriate adjustments.
