1. Ensure the motorcycle is in a safe position and the engine is off.
2. Slide forward off of the seat to access the seat lock below the back of the seat. Lift the seat up about an inch to slide the seat lock to the right. Press down on the seat to lock it.
3. With the seat still slightly lifted, place your left hand under the front center of the seat. Use your right hand to reach through the gap between the seat and the fairing just behind the bottom left side of the fuel tank. Locate the tab in that gap and pull down while lifting up on the seat with your left hand. Unlatch the seat on the right side in a similar manner. Once both tabs are unlatched, remove the seat.
