Procedure:
1. Prepare the Bike: Park the bike on a level surface and turn off the engine. Disconnect the battery to prevent any electrical issues during the process.
2. Remove the Right Side Cover: Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the right side cover. Carefully remove the cover, exposing the kick start mechanism.
3. Remove the Kick Start Lever: Use a wrench to loosen and remove the nut securing the kick start lever to the shaft. Slide the lever off the shaft.
4. Remove the Kick Start Shaft: Use the appropriate socket wrench to remove the bolts holding the kick start shaft in place. Then, gently pull the shaft out from the engine casing. Note the position of any washers or gaskets.
5. Install the New Kick Start Shaft: Insert the new kick start shaft into the engine casing, ensuring it aligns correctly with the gear. Replace any washers or gaskets in their original positions.
6. Reinstall the Kick Start Lever: Slide the kick start lever onto the shaft and secure it with the nut you removed earlier. Tighten the nut firmly.
7. Replace the Right Side Cover: Reinstall the right side cover, making sure the gasket is properly seated. Secure the cover using the bolts you removed earlier.
8. Refill the Oil: If you've drained any oil during the process, refill it to the recommended level using the appropriate oil.
9. Reconnect the Battery: Reconnect the battery cables to restore electrical power to the bike.
10. Test the Kick Start: Start the bike and press the kick start lever to ensure it operates smoothly and engages properly.
