2. Check to see if the choke lever is all the way down. If it’s not, move the choke down.
3. Look for the rubber cap below the carburetor and remove it to expose the idle speed screw.
4. Turn the idle speed screw clockwise or counterclockwise to increase or decrease the engine RPMs as needed.
5. The normal Idle speed for the Honda Fourtrax 300 should be between 1,200 RPM and 1,500 RPM. Once you have set the idle speed, replace the rubber cap over the idle speed screw to protect it from dirt or water.
