Gather your materials. You will need the following:
-New chaincase oil
-A funnel
-A rag or paper towel
-A wrench
1. Clean area around drain and fill plugs (usually 19mm)
2. Position drain pan under the chaincase drain plug
3. Remove drain plug and allow old oil to drain completely
4. Reinstall drain plug
5. Remove the fill plug and add new chaincase oil using a funnel. The factory recommended amount for most Polaris snowmobiles is 6-8 ounces, but it is best to refer to your owner's manual to verify.
6. Reinstall fill plug
7. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to circulate the new oil.
8. Check the oil level again and add more oil if necessary.
