Time: 1-2 hours
Tools:
* Socket wrench
* 10 mm socket
* 12 mm socket
* 13 mm socket
* 17 mm socket
* T-handle wrench
* Flat-head screwdriver
* Pliers
* Wire brush
* New glow plugs
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the air filter housing.
3. Remove the fuel injector lines from the glow plugs.
4. Remove the glow plug connector covers.
5. Remove the glow plugs using the 10 mm socket.
6. Clean the glow plug wells using the wire brush.
7. Install the new glow plugs, tightening to 15 N·m (11 ft-lbs) using the 10 mm socket.
8. Reinstall the glow plug connector covers.
9. Reinstall the fuel injector lines.
10. Reinstall the air filter housing.
11. Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
Tips:
* Make sure that the new glow plugs are the same size and thread pitch as the old glow plugs.
* Do not over-tighten the glow plugs.
* Be careful not to drop anything into the glow plug wells.
* Use a new copper gasket when reinstalling the fuel injector lines.
