Instructions:
1. Engage the parking brake. To ensure your safety, chock the front wheels when in a parking lot.
2. With the lug wrench, loosen the lug nuts on the wheel you are going to change, but don't remove them completely.
3. Place the jack underneath the car frame near the wheel you are changing, but not directly underneath the wheel itself.
4. Once the jack is firmly in place, begin jacking up the car until the tire is off the ground.
5. Once the tire is off the ground, finish removing the lug nuts and take off the flat tire.
6. Place the spare tire on the hub, and loosely replace the lug nuts. Lower the car until the spare tire is almost touching the ground but not completely. Tighten the lug nuts until they are snug.
7. Lower the car all the way down, then tighten the lug nuts fully.
