- Locate the ignition switch and turn it to the "on" position. The dashboard lights should come on, but the engine should not start.
Step 2: Find the passenger airbag on/off switch.
- Once the key is in the "On" position, look carefully near the passenger footwell or above the glovebox. This switch may also have a symbol of an airbag with lines crossed through it.
- Locate the passenger airbag on/off switch. It is typically located on the dashboard or side of the centre console.
Step 3: Press and hold the passenger airbag on/off switch.
- Press and hold the passenger airbag on/off switch for a few seconds.
- The airbag indicator light on the dashboard should turn on when the passenger airbag is turned off.
Step 4: Turn off the ignition.
- Turn the ignition key back to the "off" position.
Note: Some Renault Clio models may not have a passenger airbag on/off switch. If your car does not have this switch, you can disable the passenger airbag by disconnecting the airbag fuse. The fuse box is typically located under the hood of the car.
