- New cabin air filter (check owner’s manual for the right size)
- Flathead screwdriver
- Phillips-head screwdriver
Instructions:
Step 1: Locate the Cabin Air Filter
- The cabin air filter in the 1997 BMW Z3 is located behind the glove box.
- Open the glove box.
- On the passenger side of the glove box, there is a small access panel.
- Remove the screws holding the access panel in place.
Step 2: Remove the Old Cabin Air Filter
- Once the access panel is removed, you will see the old cabin air filter.
- Grasp the old cabin air filter and pull it out.
Step 3: Install the New Cabin Air Filter
- Insert the new cabin air filter into the slot.
- Make sure that the new cabin air filter is properly seated.
Step 4: Replace the Access Panel
- Replace the access panel and secure it with the screws.
- Close the glove box.
Note:
Some BMW Z3 models may have a different location for the cabin air filter. If you cannot find the cabin air filter behind the glove box, please consult your owner’s manual for instructions specific to your vehicle.
