1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
Park your vehicle on a level surface, and engage the parking brake. Open the hood and locate the headlight assembly to be changed.
2. Locate the headlight assembly.
The headlight assembly is located behind the front bumper. You can access it through a small access panel.
3. Remove the access panel.
Pop off the access panel by gently prying it loose.
4. Remove the old bulb.
Reach into the headlight assembly and twist the old bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
5. Install the new bulb.
Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is secure.
6. Replace the access panel.
Snap the access panel back into place.
7. Close the hood.
Here are some additional tips:
- Be careful not to touch the glass of the new bulb with your fingers, as this can cause the bulb to burn out prematurely.
- If you have difficulty reaching the bulb, you can use a flashlight to help you see.
