1. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position, but do not start the engine.
2. Locate the Trip Reset knob on the dashboard. It is usually located near the speedometer or odometer.
3. Press and hold the Trip Reset knob for 5-10 seconds until the check engine light turns off.
Option 2 - Using a Code Reader or Scan Tool
1. Connect the code reader or scan tool to your vehicle's diagnostic port.
2. Turn on the ignition key to the "ON" position.
3. Follow the instructions on the code reader or scan tool to navigate to the "Reset Codes" or "Clear DTCs" menu.
4. Select the "Reset Codes" or "Clear DTCs" option.
5. The code reader or scan tool will display a message indicating that the codes have been reset.
