How do you replace your front cigarette lighter in a 2005 Volvo S60?

1. Gather the tools and materials you need.

- New cigarette lighter

- Wire stripper

- Pliers

- Screwdriver

- Electrical tape

2. Prepare the new cigarette lighter.

- Remove the old fuse holder from the new lighter.

- Cut 2 inches (5 cm) of wire from the end of the wiring harness attached to the fuse holder.

- Strip the ends of the wire.

3. Disconnect the power supply to the old lighter.

- Open the driver's door and remove the fuse panel cover.

- Use the pliers to remove the fuse for the cigarette lighter.

4. Remove the old cigarette lighter.

- Use the screwdriver to pry up the bezel around the old lighter.

- Gently pull the old lighter out of the dashboard.

5. Connect the wires.

- Connect the red wire from the new lighter to the red wire from the wiring harness.

- Connect the black wire from the new lighter to the black wire from the wiring harness.

- Wrap the connections with electrical tape.

6. Install the new cigarette lighter.

- Push the new lighter into the dashboard until it snaps into place.

- Snap the bezel back into place.

7. Replace the fuse for the cigarette lighter.

- Insert the fuse into the slot in the fuse panel.

- Snap the fuse panel cover back into place.

8. Close the driver's door.

- Test the new lighter to make sure it works.
