Tools Needed:
* T20 Torx bit
* 10mm socket
* 13mm socket
* T55 Torx bit (for removing the camshaft cover)
* RTV silicone sealant
* New CVVT hub
Instructions:
1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Remove the engine cover.
3. Remove the intake manifold.
4. Remove the camshaft cover.
5. Locate the CVVT hub on the rear of the camshaft.
6. Remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the CVVT hub in place.
7. Remove the old CVVT hub from the camshaft.
8. Apply a thin bead of RTV silicone sealant to the new CVVT hub.
9. Install the new CVVT hub on the camshaft and tighten the two 10mm bolts.
10. Replace the camshaft cover.
11. Replace the intake manifold.
12. Connect the negative battery terminal.
Resetting the CVVT Hub
1. Start the engine and let it run for about 5 minutes.
2. Turn off the engine and wait for it to cool down.
3. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
4. Wait for at least 30 minutes.
5. Connect the negative battery terminal.
The CVVT hub is now reset and the engine should be running properly.
