1. Park your car on a level surface and ensure the parking brake is engaged.
2. Turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition.
3. Wait a few seconds for the electronic control unit (ECU) to shut down completely.
4. Re-start the engine and ensure the parking brake is still engaged.
5. Once the engine is running, release the parking brake and then re-engage it.
6. The "Check Parking Brake" message should now be cleared from the dashboard.
If the message persists, there may be a fault with the parking brake system, and you should have it inspected by a qualified mechanic.
