How do you recharge the AC in a 1996 Achieva?

To recharge the AC in a 1996 Achieva, you will need the following tools and materials:

- R134a refrigerant

- AC recharge kit

- Manifold gauge set

- Safety glasses

- Gloves

Once you have gathered your tools and materials, follow these steps:

1. Park your Achieva in a shady area and turn off the engine.

2. Put on your safety glasses and gloves.

3. Locate the low-pressure service port on the AC system. It is usually located on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the firewall.

4. Connect the manifold gauge set to the low-pressure service port.

5. Open the refrigerant tank and slowly turn the valve to release the refrigerant into the AC system.

6. Monitor the pressure on the manifold gauge set. The pressure should not exceed the maximum pressure specified in the AC recharge kit instructions.

7. Continue to add refrigerant until the pressure reaches the desired level.

8. Once the AC system is fully charged, close the refrigerant tank and disconnect the manifold gauge set.

9. Start the engine and turn on the AC. Let the AC run for a few minutes to circulate the refrigerant.

Your Achieva's AC should now be recharged and working properly.
