Large Leak
1. Do not enter area or confined space until it has been thoroughly ventilated.
2. Evacuate the building and notify all personnel to vacate the area.
3. Notify supervisor in charge of immediate area.
4. Notify security and facilities, if necessary.
5. Remove all ignition sources.
6. Ventilate affected areas.
7. If it is too dangerous to approach the leak, call the fire department and local emergency response personnel, if necessary.
8. If it is safe to do so, attempt to stop the leak by closing the cylinder valve or transfer the leaking cylinder to a safe location outdoors in a well ventilated area.
9. Keep all equipment in service until the hazardous area has been secured and ventilated.
