Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery
Leave disconnected to rest for 10 minutes
Press and hold the trip mileage odometer reset button
With odometer button still pressed reconnect
negative battery
Wait five more minutes, the check engine light should go off
To be thorough turn on the vehicles
headlights for seven seconds without touching
the gas
Release headlights and start car engine
The computer is now reset
