Instructions:
1.Locate the Seat Height Adjuster: Start by locating the seat height adjuster in your Honda vehicle. Usually, it is a lever located under the front of the seat cushion.
2.Disconnect the Battery: Before starting any repairs, disconnect the vehicle's battery to avoid any electrical hazards.
3.Remove the Seat: Remove the seat bolts using a 12 mm socket wrench. Then, lift and pull the seat out of the vehicle.
4.Remove the Seat Back: Remove the two 10 mm bolts holding the seat back in place. Carefully lift the seat back and place it in a safe location.
5.Access the Height Adjuster Mechanism: Once you have removed the seat back, you'll be able to see the height adjuster mechanism underneath.
6.Check for Loose Bolts: Before replacing the entire height adjuster assembly, check if there are any loose bolts or nuts. If so, tighten them with the appropriate socket wrench.
7.Remove Old Assembly: If you find that the height adjuster mechanism is broken, you'll need to remove the old assembly. Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the seat rail and adjuster mechanism in place. Then, use the flat head screwdriver to pry the old mechanism out of its housing.
8.Install Replacement: Take your new height adjuster assembly and position it in the same place as the old one. Secure it using the screws you removed earlier.
9.Test the Adjustment: Once the replacement assembly is installed, put the seat back and reattach the seat bolts. Sit in the seat and try adjusting the height to ensure that the repair was successful.
10.Reattach Battery: After everything is in place and the seat is secured properly, reconnect the vehicle's battery.
Remember, if the height adjuster mechanism is severely damaged or the seat is unstable, it's advisable to consult a professional mechanic to ensure the repair is done properly.
