1. Park the vehicle on a level surface, engage the parking brake, and chock the rear wheels to prevent the vehicle from rolling.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the affected front wheel.
3. Raise the front of the vehicle with a jack and place a jack stand underneath the frame for safety.
4. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
5. Remove the brake caliper by unbolting it from the steering knuckle and hanging it out of the way with a piece of wire or string.
6. Remove the two bolts holding the brake disc to the wheel hub.
7. Remove the brake disc.
8. Use a puller tool to remove the wheel bearing from the hub. Be careful not to damage the hub during this process.
9. Clean the hub thoroughly to remove any debris or old bearing grease.
10. Install the new wheel bearing into the hub, ensuring it is properly seated and aligned.
11. Install the brake disc and secure it with the two bolts.
12. Reinstall the brake caliper and tighten the bolts.
13. Reattach the wheel and tighten the lug nuts.
14. Lower the vehicle from the jack stand and remove the jack.
15. Double-check all bolts and connections to ensure they are secure.
16. Take the vehicle for a short test drive to check for any unusual noises or vibrations coming from the front wheel.
Note: It is recommended to replace both front wheel bearings at the same time for even wear and performance. If the above steps seem challenging, it is best to have the front wheel bearing replaced by a qualified mechanic to avoid any potential safety risks.
