- Ratcheting wrench set
- 15 mm socket
- Pry bar
- Jack and jack stands
- Safety glasses
Instructions
1. Chock the front wheels and park the Mustang in neutral
2. Jack the rear of the Mustang up so that the wheels are off the ground
3. Use the wrench to remove the two 15 mm bolts holding the lower control arm to the rear axle housing
4. Remove the cotter pin and castle nut from the lower control arm ball joint.
5. Use a pry bar to press the ball joint out of the steering knuckle
6. Lift the lower control arm up and out of the car.
7. Install the new lower control arm in reverse order of removal
NOTE
You may need to adjust the alignment after installing the new control arm.
