How do you get a 2003 Nissan Xterra automatic locking hub to unlock when stuck?

1. Park your Xterra on a level surface and engage the parking brake. This will help to prevent the vehicle from rolling while you are working on the locking hubs.

2. Locate the locking hubs. The locking hubs are located on the front wheels of the Xterra. They are round and have a black or silver cap.

3. Remove the cap of the locking hub. Use a screwdriver or other flat object to pry the cap off of the locking hub.

4.Turn the locking hub counterclockwise. Use a wrench or socket to turn the locking hub counterclockwise until it stops. This will unlock the locking hub and allow the wheel to rotate freely.

5.Replace the cap of the locking hub. Once the locking hub is unlocked, replace the cap to keep dirt and debris out of the hub.
