How do you turn off the alarm system in a 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante?

To turn off the alarm system in a 2002 Mitsubishi Diamante:

1. Locate the security indicator light. It is usually located on the dashboard or near the rearview mirror.

2. Press and hold the Valet button for 5 seconds. The security indicator light will turn green.

3. Enter the 4-digit PIN code. The default code is 1111.

4. Press and hold the Valet button for 5 seconds again. The security indicator light will turn off.

Note: If you enter the PIN code incorrectly three times, the alarm will sound and you will have to wait 30 minutes before you can try again.
