- Jack and jack stands

1. Park your car on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheel that you want to remove, but do not remove them completely.
3. Jack up the front of the car until the tire is off the ground.
4. Place a jack stand under the car for added support.
5. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
6. Use a screwdriver to pry off the dust cap in the center of the hub.
7. Use a hammer to loosen the hub nut.
8. Once the hub nut is loose, use a socket wrench to remove it.
9. Slide the hub off of the spindle.
NOTE: If the hub is stuck, you may need to use a penetrating oil to loosen it up.
