- Replacement Starter Motor.

Procedure:
1. Start by disconnecting the battery. This is a safety precaution to avoid any electrical accidents.
2. Locate the starter motor on the engine. It is usually located near the bottom of the engine, on the driver's side.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the starter motor. There will be two or three connectors, depending on the model of your truck. Use a screwdriver to pry open the locking tabs on the connectors and then pull them off.
4. Remove the mounting bolts that hold the starter motor in place. There are usually two or three bolts. Use a socket wrench to loosen and remove the bolts.

6. Install the new starter motor by reversing the steps you took to remove the old starter motor.
7. When the new starter motor is in place, reconnect the electrical connectors and the mounting bolts.
