- 1/2-inch drive ratchet
- 3/8-inch drive ratchet
- 10mm socket
- 13mm socket
- 15mm socket
- 17mm socket
- Pry bar
- Hammer
1. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the serpentine belt.
3. Remove the four bolts that hold the compressor to the engine block.
4. Gently pry the compressor away from the engine block using the pry bar and hammer.
5. Remove the pulley bolt using the 17mm socket.
6. Remove the pulley from the compressor shaft.
Additional tips:
- If the pulley bolt is difficult to remove, you can try using an impact wrench.
- Be careful not to damage the compressor or the engine block when prying the compressor away from the engine.
