How do you remove the rotor from a 1988 Ford Ranger?

Tools needed:

- Flat-head screwdriver

- 10mm wrench

- Hammer

Instructions:

1. Locate the rotor. The rotor is located at the center of the wheel, behind the brake caliper.

2. Remove the wheel lug nuts. Use the 10mm wrench to loosen the lug nuts that hold the wheel in place.

3. Remove the wheel. Once the lug nuts are loosened, you can remove the wheel by pulling it straight off of the hub.

4. Locate the rotor retaining screw. The rotor retaining screw is located on the back of the rotor. It is a small screw with a Phillips head.

5. Remove the rotor retaining screw. Use the flat-head screwdriver to loosen the rotor retaining screw.

6. Pry the rotor off of the hub. Once the rotor retaining screw is removed, you can pry the rotor off of the hub by inserting the flat-head screwdriver between the rotor and the hub and prying it up.

7. Tap the rotor with a hammer. If the rotor is stuck on the hub, you may need to tap it with a hammer to loosen it. Be careful not to damage the rotor.

8. Remove the rotor. Once the rotor is loose, you can remove it by lifting it straight up off of the hub.
