1. ½-inch ratchet
2. 17 mm socket and extension
3. pry bar

Instructions:
1. Use the 17 mm socket and ratchet to loosen the lug nuts on the wheel on the side where the CV axle is being replaced.
2. Jack up the car and place the jack stands in the proper location.
3. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheel.
4. Locate the CV axle nut on the end of the axle shaft that’s visible behind the wheel.
5. Use the 17 mm socket and ratchet to remove the CV axle nut.
6. Use a pry bar to pry the CV axle out of the transmission. This may take some force.
7. Once the CV axle is removed from the transmission, pull it out of the wheel hub.
8. To install the new CV axle, first insert it into the wheel hub.
9. Slide the CV axle into the transmission and secure it in place with the CV axle nut.
10. Torque the CV axle nut to the manufacturer’s specifications.
11. Replace the wheel and lug nuts.
12. Lower the car and remove the jack stands.
13. Test the CV axle by driving the car.
Tips:
- Before you begin, make sure you have the right tools and materials.
- If you are not comfortable working on cars, you can take it to a mechanic to have the CV axle replaced.
- Be careful not to damage the CV axle or the transmission when you are prying the axle out of the transmission.
