1. Check the power steering fluid level. If it is low, add more fluid and check for leaks in the power steering system.
2. Inspect the power steering pressure sensor. It is usually located on the power steering pump or near the steering rack. Look for any damage or corrosion to the sensor or its wiring. Clean the sensor and connector if necessary.
3. Test the power steering pressure sensor with a multimeter. Disconnect the sensor and measure the voltage between the sensor terminals. The voltage should be within the manufacturer's specifications.
4. If the power steering pressure sensor is faulty, replace it with a new one. Make sure to use a genuine Mopar part.
5. Clear the trouble code from the vehicle's computer. This can be done with a scan tool or by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
Test drive the vehicle to make sure that the repair has been successful. If the trouble code returns, there may be another underlying issue with the power steering system that will need to be diagnosed and repaired.
