How do you remove your factory radio from a 1996 bronco?

To remove the factory radio from a 1996 Bronco, follow these steps:

1. Gather the necessary tools: a Phillips-head screwdriver, a flat-head screwdriver, and a radio removal tool (or two bent coat hangers).

2. Disconnect the battery: To prevent any electrical accidents, disconnect the negative battery cable from the battery.

3. Remove the trim panel: Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the trim panel around the radio in place. Gently pry the trim panel off, being careful not to damage it.

4. Remove the radio bracket: Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the radio bracket in place.

5. Remove the radio: Use the radio removal tool (or bent coat hangers) to slide into the slots on each side of the radio. Gently pull the radio out of the dash.

6. Disconnect the wiring: Use the flat-head screwdriver to disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the radio. Note the position of each wire for easy reinstallation.

7. Remove the antenna cable: Unscrew the antenna cable from the back of the radio.

8. Install the new radio: Follow the steps in reverse to install the new radio. Make sure to connect the wiring harness and antenna cable correctly.

9. Test the radio: Turn the ignition key to the "On" position and test the radio to make sure it is working properly.
