- Phillips head screwdriver
- Flat head screwdriver
- 10mm socket wrench
- 12mm socket wrench
- Pry bar
Step 1: Remove the door panel.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the door panel in place.
- Once the screws are removed, use a pry bar to carefully pry the door panel off of the door.
- Be careful not to damage the door panel or the weather stripping.
Step 2: Locate the door hinges.
- The door hinges are located on the side of the door and the body of the truck.
- There are two hinges on each door.
Step 3: Loosen the hinge bolts.
- Use a 12mm socket wrench to loosen the bolts holding the door hinges in place.
- Do not remove the bolts completely.
Step 4: Adjust the door hinges.
- Use a flat head screwdriver to adjust the door hinges.
- Turn the screws clockwise to raise the door and counterclockwise to lower the door.
- Make sure that the door is level and that it opens and closes smoothly.
Step 5: Tighten the hinge bolts.
- Use a 12mm socket wrench to tighten the hinge bolts.
- Make sure that the bolts are tight so that the door does not come loose.
Step 6: Replace the door panel.
- Carefully place the door panel back on the door.
- Make sure that the weather stripping is properly seated.
- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to replace the screws holding the door panel in place.
Step 7: Test the door.
- Open and close the door to make sure that it is properly aligned and that it opens and closes smoothly.
