Instructions:
1. Disconnect the Battery:
Before starting any work, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery to prevent any electrical accidents.
2. Remove the Door Panel:
- Gently pry off the plastic cover of the window handle using a flat-head screwdriver.
- Remove the screws underneath the cover.
- Remove the screws along the bottom edge of the door panel.
- Gently pull the door panel upwards and away from the door to release the clips holding it in place.
- Disconnect any electrical connectors behind the door panel, like the power window switch connector.
3. Remove the Window Glass:
- Lower the window glass fully.
- Locate the two bolts that hold the window in place.
- Loosen the bolts and carefully remove the window glass.
- Be cautious when handling the glass to prevent any breakage.
4. Remove the Window Motor:
- Locate the window motor mounted inside the door.
- Unplug the electrical connector from the window motor.
- Remove the mounting bolts that secure the window motor.
- Slide out the old window motor from the door.
5. Install the New Window Motor:
- Slide the new window motor into place and secure it using the mounting bolts.
- Reconnect the electrical connector.
6. Test the Window Motor:
- Connect the negative terminal of the battery.
- Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position.
- Test the window motor by operating the power window switch to raise and lower the window.
- Make sure that the window motor is functioning correctly and that the window moves smoothly.
7. Reattach the Door Panel:
- Reattach the power window switch connector behind the door panel.
- Carefully align the door panel with the door frame and press it into place until the clips snap.
- Replace the screws along the bottom edge of the door panel and reattach the plastic cover of the window handle.
8. Reconnect the Battery:
- Reconnect the negative terminal of the battery to restore power to the vehicle.
Remember to take safety precautions when working with electrical components, and disconnect the battery before performing any electrical work.
