Instructions:
1. Remove the door panel.
- Depending on the make and model of your vehicle, the specific steps to remove your door panel may vary, but in most cases:
- Start by removing the screws along the bottom of the door panel, and pop out the fasteners.
- Now grip the door panel at the bottom, or where the door handle is, and pull it up to release the rest of the fasteners
- Lift up the door panel and rest it on the window sill.
2. Locate the speaker.
- Once you have removed the door panel, you should be able to see the speaker.
- In some cases, there may be a separate cover that you will need to remove first.
3. Disconnect the speaker wires.
- Use a screwdriver to disconnect the speaker wires from the speaker terminals.
- Be careful not to damage the wires.
4. Remove the speaker from the door.
- Once the wires are disconnected, you can remove the speaker from the door by unscrewing the mounting screws.
5. Install the replacement speaker.
- Place the replacement speaker in the door and align the mounting holes with the holes in the door panel.
- Secure the speaker with the mounting screws that came with your new speaker.
6. Connect the speaker wires.
- Connect the speaker wires to the speaker terminals, being sure to match the positive and negative wires correctly.
- Use a soldering iron to solder the wires together, and then cover the connections with heat-shrink tubing.
7. Reinstall the door panel.
- Once you have connected the speaker wires, you can reinstall the door panel by reversing the steps from before,
- First connect the wires and plugs
- Push or snap the door panel into place
- Place and tighten screws.
- Do a test check
