Instructions:
1. Park the car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Engage the parking brake and chock the wheels.
3. Raise the front of the car with the jack and jack stands so you have enough room to work.
4. Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
5. Remove the upper alternator mounting bolt.
6. Loosen the lower alternator mounting bolt.
7. Remove the serpentine belt using a pry bar.
8. Remove the alternator from the car.
9. Install the new alternator in reverse order of removal.
10. Tighten the upper and lower mounting bolts.
11. Connect the battery negative terminal.
12. Lower the car off the jack stands.
13. Start the engine and check the alternator output using a multimeter.
