- Flat-head screwdriver
- Philips-head screwdriver
- 10mm socket wrench
Instructions:
1. Make sure the Mountaineer is parked on a level surface and the engine is turned off.
2. Open the passenger side door.
3. Locate the three screws holding the mirror assembly in place. Two screws are located at the top of the assembly, and one screw is located at the bottom.
4. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry up the plastic covers over the two top screws.
5. Use the Philips-head screwdriver to remove the two top screws.
6. Use the 10mm socket wrench to remove the bottom screw.
7. Carefully lift the mirror assembly off of the door.
8. Disconnect the electrical connector from the mirror assembly.
9. Position the new mirror assembly on the door.
10. Insert the bottom screw and tighten with the 10mm socket wrench.
11. Replace the two top screws and tighten with the Philips-head screwdriver.
12. Snap the plastic covers back into place over the top screws.
13. Close the passenger side door.
The passenger side mirror should now be changed.
