How do you fix a window on 1995 Ford Ranger?

To fix a window on a 1995 Ford Ranger, you will need the following tools and materials:

Tools:

- Phillips head screwdriver

- Flat head screwdriver

- Pliers

- Wire cutters

- Crimping tool

- Drill

- 1/8 inch drill bit

- Hammer

Materials:

- Window regulator and motor assembly (replacement part)

- Window glass (replacement part)

- Window weatherstripping (replacement part)

- Door panel clips (replacement parts)

- Electrical tape

- Wire connectors

- RTV silicone sealant

Instructions:

1) Remove the door panel.

- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the screws holding the door panel in place.

- Use a flat head screwdriver to pry the door panel clips loose.

- Disconnect the electrical connectors for the power window switch and the door lock.

- Set the door panel aside.

2) Remove the old window regulator and motor assembly.

- Use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the bolts holding the window regulator and motor assembly in place.

- Disconnect the electrical connector for the window regulator and motor.

- Remove the window regulator and motor assembly from the door.

3) Install the new window regulator and motor assembly.

- Slide the new window regulator and motor assembly into the door.

- Connect the electrical connector for the window regulator and motor.

- Secure the window regulator and motor assembly with the bolts you removed earlier.

4) Install the new window glass.

- Clean the window channel with a degreaser.

- Apply a strip of RTV silicone sealant around the perimeter of the window opening.

- Position the new window glass in the opening and press it firmly into place.

- Use the drill and 1/8 inch drill bit to make a drainage hole in the bottom corner of the window glass.

5) Install the new window weatherstripping.

- Remove the old window weatherstripping from the window channel.

- Install the new window weatherstripping in the channel, making sure that it is properly seated.

- Use a hammer to gently tap the weatherstripping into place.

6) Reinstall the door panel.

- Connect the electrical connectors for the power window switch and the door lock.

- Snap the door panel clips back into place.

- Replace the screws you removed earlier to secure the door panel.

7) Test the window.

- Operate the power window switch to raise and lower the window.

- Check for proper alignment of the window glass and weatherstripping.

- Make sure that the window opens and closes smoothly and that there are no gaps.
