- Phillips screwdriver
-Flat-head screwdriver
- 5.5 mm socket
- 7 mm socket
- Socket wrench
- Masking tape
- Trim removal tool/panel cutter
2. Remove Inner Door Handle Bezel
- Slide the panel cutter around the handle to detach the two hooks located on the top and bottom.
- Gently pry the trim apart using your hands to avoid damage.
- Disconnect the two electrical connectors attached to the power door lock switch and window switch.
- Place aside the bezel and switch assembly.
3. Remove Door Handle
-Locate the two 7mm bolts below the door handle and loosen with a socket wrench.
-Gently pry the handle trim upwards and lift to release the hooks.
-Set the door handle assembly aside.
-If equipped, carefully unplug any electrical connectors from the handle.
4. Detach Window Crank Handle
- Turn the crank until the small opening aligns with the C-clip.
-Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the clip loose and the crank out of the door panel.
-If the crank is difficult to remove, rotate it slightly so that the pin slides.
-Put aside the crank handle.
5. Unscrew Door Panel Bolts
-Remove the Phillips-head screw near the window crank opening.
-Along the door pull pocket, locate and loosen the two 7 mm bolts.
-There is also one 7mm bolt located beneath the door lock and window control buttons.
-Locate and remove the two last 7mm bolts behind the armrest (some models have a small door covering them).
6. Separate Panel
- Insert a thin pry tool along the panel's side and gently pry upward to release the clips.
-Work around the perimeter of the door panel, popping the panel clips loose.
-Be mindful of sharp edges within the door panel.
-Once the panel is free from the door, lift it upwards to clear the top window seal and remove it.
7. Detach Rod and Cables
-Detach any remaining rods, cables, and electrical connections from the interior side of the door panel.
8. Reassemble
- To reinstall the door panel, reverse the removal procedure.
-Align the panel at the top (near the window) and carefully lower it into place.
-Once all the clips are snapped in place, tighten the bolts previously loosened.
-Reconnect any electrical connectors and test the functionality of the power window and door lock switches.
