1. Park your vehicle on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the pinch welds along the vehicle’s frame. These are the reinforced areas where the jack should be placed to safely lift the vehicle.
3. Ensure that the jack is properly seated in the pinch weld before proceeding.
4. Lift the vehicle until the flat tire is off the ground, but not so high that the other tires are off the ground. Remove the lug nuts carefully and set them aside.
5. Place a chock behind one of the tires on the opposite side of the vehicle to help prevent it from rolling.
