- New driveshaft center mount
Instructions:
1. Park your truck on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Loosen the lug nuts on the rear wheels.
3. Jack up the rear of the truck until the wheels are off the ground.
4. Place jack stands under the frame of the truck to support it.
5. Remove the lug nuts and wheels.
6. Locate the driveshaft center mount. It is located in the middle of the driveshaft, between the transmission and the rear axle.
7. Spray penetrating oil on the bolts that hold the center mount in place.
8. Use the pry bar to pry the center mount away from the driveshaft.
9. Remove the bolts and take off the old driveshaft center mount.
10. Place the new center mount in position.
11. Reinstall the bolts and tighten them.
12. Reinstall the wheels and lug nuts.
13. Lower the truck.
14. Test drive the truck to make sure the new center mount is working properly.
