1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine. Allow the engine to cool down completely before proceeding.

2. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent accidental starting.

3. Drain the oil from the engine by removing the oil drain plug. Allow all of the oil to drain out completely before proceeding.

4. Remove the oil filter.

5. Locate the oil pump. It is located on the front of the engine, below the water pump.

6. Remove the bolts that hold the oil pump in place.

7. Carefully remove the oil pump from the engine. Be careful not to damage the gasket.

8. Inspect the oil pump for damage or wear. If the oil pump is damaged, it must be replaced.

9. Install a new gasket on the oil pump.

10. Carefully install the oil pump into the engine. Be careful not to damage the gasket.

11. Install the bolts that hold the oil pump in place.

12. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

13. Add new oil to the engine.

14. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. Check for any leaks.

15. If there are no leaks, turn off the engine and lower the car.
