Locate the brake light assembly. The brake light assembly is located on the rear of the vehicle, on either side of the trunk lid.
Remove the access cover. To remove the access cover, gently pry it off with a flat-head screwdriver.
Locate the brake light bulb. The brake light bulb is located inside the brake light assembly.
Turn the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
Insert the new brake light bulb. Make sure that the new bulb is inserted all the way in and that it is seated properly.
Turn the bulb clockwise to tighten it.
Replace the access cover.
Test the brake lights to make sure that they are working properly.
