- New EGR valve
- EGR valve gasket
- 10mm socket
- 12mm socket

Step 2: Locate the EGR valve.
- The EGR valve is located on the passenger side of the engine, near the rear of the cylinder head.
Step 3: Disconnect the EGR valve.
- Disconnect the vacuum line from the EGR valve by pulling it off of the nipple.
- Disconnect the electrical connector from the EGR valve by pressing the release tab and pulling the connector straight up.
Step 4: Remove the bolts holding the EGR valve in place.
- There are two bolts that hold the EGR valve in place. Remove the bolts using a 12mm socket and ratchet.
Step 5: Remove the EGR valve.
- Once the bolts are removed, you can lift the EGR valve off of the intake manifold.
Step 6: Clean the EGR valve and the intake manifold.
- Use a flat-head screwdriver and pliers to clean any carbon deposits from the EGR valve and the intake manifold.
Step 7: Install the new EGR valve.
- Place the new EGR valve gasket over the intake manifold port.
- Set the new EGR valve onto the gasket.
- Replace the bolts that hold the EGR valve in place.
Step 8: Tighten the bolts.
- Tighten the bolts that hold the EGR valve in place using a 12mm socket and ratchet.
Step 9: Reconnect the EGR valve.
- Reconnect the vacuum line to the EGR valve by pushing it onto the nipple.
- Reconnect the electrical connector to the EGR valve by pressing the release tab and pushing the connector straight down.
Step 10: Start the engine and test the EGR valve.
- Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes.
- Inspect the EGR valve for leaks.
- If there are no leaks, the EGR valve is installed correctly and working properly.
