1. Gather the necessary tools. You will need a flat-head screwdriver, a Phillips-head screwdriver, and a pair of pliers.
2. Locate the fuel door release lever. It is located on the driver's side footwell, near the accelerator pedal.
3. Pull up on the fuel door release lever. This will release the fuel door, but it may not open all the way if the clip is broken.
4. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry open the fuel door. Insert the screwdriver into the seam between the fuel door and the body of the car, and then pry up until the door is fully open.
5. Locate the broken clip. It is located on the inside of the fuel door, near the hinge.
6. Use the pliers to remove the broken clip. Grasp the clip with the pliers and pull it out.
7. Install a new clip. Insert the new clip into the hole where the old clip was located.
8. Close the fuel door. Push the fuel door closed until it latches.
9. Test the fuel door. Pull up on the fuel door release lever to make sure that the door opens and closes properly.
If the fuel door still does not open after following these steps, you may need to take your car to a mechanic to have it repaired.
