1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and locate the idle speed control valve (ISC valve). It is usually mounted on the throttle body or intake manifold.
3. Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes to reach its operating temperature.
4. Turn off the engine and reconnect the ISC valve.
5. Start the engine again and let it run for a few minutes.
6. Use a flat-head screwdriver to turn the idle speed adjustment screw on the ISC valve. Turn the screw clockwise to increase the idle speed and counterclockwise to decrease it.
7. Adjust the idle speed to the desired level, which is typically between 700 and 800 RPM.
8. Turn off the engine and reconnect the ISC valve.
Note: Adjusting the idle speed may affect the air-fuel mixture and emissions. It is recommended to have a professional mechanic perform this adjustment to ensure that the engine is operating properly.
