How do you drain the hydraulic clutch fluid in a 97 Cavalier?

To drain the hydraulic clutch fluid in a 1997 Cavalier, follow these steps:

1. Park your car on a level surface and turn off the engine.

2. Open the hood of your vehicle and locate the clutch master cylinder. It's usually a metal cylinder with a black plastic cap on it.

3. Place a drip pan under the clutch master cylinder.

4. Remove the cap from the clutch master cylinder.

5. Use a turkey baster or syringe to remove as much of the old clutch fluid from the reservoir as possible

6. Disconnect the clutch line from the clutch master cylinder.

7. Place the end of the clutch line into the drip pan and allow the remaining clutch fluid to drain.

8. Once the clutch fluid has stopped draining, reconnect the clutch line to the clutch master cylinder.

9. Fill the clutch master cylinder with new DOT 3 brake fluid.

10. Bleed the clutch system.

Remember, handling clutch fluid can be messy and harmful. Always wear gloves and safety glasses when performing this task.
