1. Gather the necessary tools and materials. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver, a soldering iron, solder, and a new speedometer bulb.
2. Remove the instrument cluster. To do this, you will need to remove the screws that hold the instrument cluster in place. There are two screws on the top of the cluster, and two screws on the bottom. Once the screws are removed, you can carefully pull the instrument cluster out of the dashboard.
3. Remove the speedometer bulb. The speedometer bulb is located on the back of the instrument cluster. To remove it, you will need to turn the bulb counterclockwise.
4. Solder the new bulb in place. Take the new bulb and insert it into the socket. Then, use the soldering iron to solder the bulb in place.
5. Reinstall the instrument cluster. Once the new bulb is soldered in place, you can reinstall the instrument cluster. To do this, simply insert the cluster back into the dashboard and replace the screws that you removed earlier.
6. Test the speedometer illumination. Turn on the headlights and check to make sure that the speedometer is illuminated. If it is not, then you may need to repeat the steps above.
