To remove the AC vents on a 1998 Nissan Altima, follow these steps:

1. Center Console Vent

* Use a trim removal tool to gently pry up the edges of the vent's outer trim piece, starting from the bottom.

* Once the outer trim piece is free, pull it straight out to remove it from the vent housing.

* Using the trim removal tool again, gently pry the vent's inner trim piece from the housing.

* Once the inner trim piece is free, gently pull it straight out of the housing to remove it.

2. Passenger-Side Dash Vent

* Gently pull to remove the vent's round adjustment knob.

* Use the trim removal tool to pry up the edges of the vent's plastic surround.

* Once the plastic surround is free, gently pry it up and away from the vent housing to remove it.

* Use the trim removal tool to gently pry the vent itself from the housing.

* Once the vent is free, gently pull it straight out of the housing to remove it.

3. Driver-Side Dash Vent

* Use the trim removal tool to gently pry up the edges of the vent's plastic surround.

* Once the plastic surround is free, gently pry it up and away from the vent housing to remove it.

* Use the trim removal tool to gently pry the vent itself from the housing.

* Once the vent is free, gently pull it straight out of the housing to remove it.

4. Floor Vent

* Gently pull to remove the vent's round adjustment knob.

* Use the trim removal tool to gently pry up the vent's plastic surround.

* Once the plastic surround is free, gently pry it up and away from the vent housing to remove it.

* Use the trim removal tool to gently pry the vent itself from the housing.

* Once the vent is free, gently pull it straight out of the housing to remove it.
