1. Park your car in a safe location and turn off the engine.
2. Open the trunk.
3. Locate the tail light assembly.
* The tail lights are located on each side of the vehicle, just below the trunk lid.
4. Remove the screws that hold the tail light assembly in place.
* There are usually two screws, one at the top and one at the bottom.
5. Carefully pull the tail light assembly out of the vehicle.
* Be careful not to drop it.
6. Locate the burned-out bulb.
* The tail light assembly contains two bulbs, one for the brake light and one for the turn signal. The brake light bulb is usually located at the bottom of the assembly, and the turn signal bulb is located at the top.
7. Remove the burned-out bulb by turning it counterclockwise.
* Be careful not to touch the glass of the bulb.
8. Install the new bulb by turning it clockwise until it is snug.
* Be careful not to over-tighten the bulb.
9. Reinstall the tail light assembly in the vehicle.
* Make sure that the gasket between the assembly and the vehicle is properly seated.
10. Replace the screws that hold the tail light assembly in place.
* Tighten the screws until they are snug.
11. Close the trunk.
You have now successfully replaced the tail light bulb in your 1991 Honda Accord.
